Trailblazers

Learning is not just a spectator sport

Our class is made up of Y5-6 students. We are fortunate to have two very enthusiastic teachers that believe in us, they help us to achieve our very best. Mr Wright, our tumuaki, loves helping us explore maths, technology and PE.   Mrs Millar helps us achieve our goals in literacy and art.

The Trailblazers are a fun group of Year 5-6 akonga who live by the motto ‘learning is not just a spectator sport’.  We love to take responsibility for our learning, challenging ourselves to find the answers to our own questions and share our findings with others in many different ways. We are active participants in our learning journey.

The Waerenga Way helps us all to feel like we are safe, we belong, and we are valued.  Our school values of resilience, reliability and resourcefulness are celebrated within our class.  This helps us rise to the challenge of meeting the high expectations we set for ourselves.

Together we make an awesome team!
Make Yourself Proud!
